Code of Ethics

Code of Ethics
For each of us, the benefit derived from association with Impact Solutions Consulting depends on the conduct of others. If we each do, as we should, all associated with ISC will have reason for pride. If even a few fail, we will all have reason for shame; the benefits of association will be less; and we will pass to our successors less than we might otherwise have. This code of ethics is intended to help us all conduct ourselves, as we should:
- Diversity. Because we recognize the contribution to hard work and governance that differences in perspective, experience, and history offer, we shall seek to maintain an environment in which those differences can flourish individually and combine productively in common projects.
- Mutual respect and human dignity. Because every member of the ISC community deserves that minimum respect due every human being, we shall try to treat everyone member of the community fairly, avoiding harassment, unjust discrimination, and intimidation in our own conduct and not tolerating them in the conduct of others.
- Community and criticism. Because opinions in any healthy community tend to differ, we shall consult those associated with ISC whom our decisions may affect, shall suggest to appropriate persons opportunities for improving ISC when we think we see them, offering our suggestions in ways unlikely to distract from their merit, shall accept the dissent of others from our views as an opportunity to learn, and shall protect dissenters from mistreatment their dissent seems to have provoked.
- Personal responsibility. We shall use all resources prudently, taking care to know what laws and other regulations apply.
- Trusting and Teamwork
We succeed together, taking collective responsibility for our customers' satisfaction.
- Inclusive Meritocracy
We care about one another, value one another's differences, focus on results and strive to help all associates reach their full potential.
- Leadership
We will be decisive leaders at every level, communicating our vision and taking action to help build a better future.
- Sense of pride and ownership. We shall try to provide each member of the ISC community with opportunities to help improve ISC.
- Civic responsibility. We shall conduct ISC activities in ways that do not reduce the quality of life in our neighborhood and shall, in addition, as circumstances allow, try to improve our neighborhood, city, state, country, and world.
- Institutional responsibility. When holding an office or other position of special trust within ISC, we shall always act in good faith, exercising at least as much care as an ordinarily prudent person in like circumstances would when seeking to serve the best interests of ISC.
- Personal responsibility. We shall use ISC resources prudently, taking care to know what laws and other regulations apply.
- Responsibility for the conduct of others. When we see what seems to be others taking ISC resources for personal use or otherwise misusing them, we shall so inform them and, should that not end the apparent misuse, notify an appropriate authority.
- Legal liability and conscience. Should we believe our use of ISC resources right but illegal, we may do what we think right, provided we ensure ISC does not thereby suffer legal liability or other substantial harm.
- Doing the Right Thing
We have the responsibility to do the right thing for our customers, shareholders, communities and one another.
